Giant Sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) in Utah.

We found the Sequoia tree in the Pine Valley Mountains! It truly stands out among the large Ponderosa pine that grow around it. It was planted near a US Forest Service guard station, likely in the 1930s, when the station was used to test how certain trees and plants would fare in the climate of Southern Utah. It made us miss Sequoia National Park and our summer in Lodgepole.
